The storefront website was built for an antique dealer in England, Southampton I believe. The programmer was a newly arrived immigrant from England. The place was Mumford Bed and Breakfast and the reason I was there was to talk to the owners about a marketing concept. The topic turned to web design and soon I was learning about content management systems for managing inventory. I soon forgot about my marketing idea and turned my attention to selling a storefront applications.
http://fundygrinding.com was the first storefront cms. http://bayhammocks.com was the second storefront (built on DotNetNuke). Now anyone wanting to manage: accounts, contacts, inventory, get up proposals, quotes, invoices, packing slips and purchase orders can do so with relative ease.
